Petition against dismissal without giving a reason

We oppose the proposal to adopt legislation that would allow employers to dismiss employees without giving a reason. This proposal appeared in the recommendations of the Czech Government’s National Economic Council (Národní ekonomická rada vlády, NERV) in January 2024.

Dismissals without giving a reason open the door, for example, to increased discrimination in the labour market and, overall, unacceptably jeopardise the position of workers and increase their insecurity.
