The strike will begin after midnight of 16th June and will be 24 hours long. Trains will be stopped as well as public transport in some of the big cities, for instance in Prague and Brno. Symbolic part at the strike will take also other unions - for instance teachers at schools will explain to pupils the reasons of the strike, hospital workers will inform patients, etc. Miners as well as other trade unionists plan to take active part at the rally and other meetings.

Trade union representatives stress that the strike is not aimed against public but against the Government and the content of its reforms. Trade unions are not against reforms, however they want the Government to withdraw its current proposals and begin to negotiate with unions about genuine and fair reforms.
